This Week’s RainTask
RainTeam recommends finding time to prepare healthy meals for the week, so that you can grab them and go. This dissuades you from resorting to a quick meal, such as fast food, that may be unhealthy for you. Not to mention, when you plan your meals ahead of time, you tend to make better decisions. You can also use this as an opportunity to plan out your calorie and macronutrient goals for the week! Feel free to prep for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or all three! Here are some healthy meal prep tips:
Keep it simple - Pick recipes with a short list of ingredients, that are quick to put together. You don’t want your meal prep to take up your day!
Make a list - Go to the grocery store prepared, so that you get what you need and nothing that you don’t!
Think ahead - If you are preparing multiple meals, plan strategically so that you make the most of your time!
Have a routine - Try to pick a day of the week that works best for you, and stick to it every week!
Use a variety of cooking methods - If you’re preparing multiple meals, find recipes that utilize a crockpot, a pressure cooker, the oven, or the stove. Picking recipes that all require use of the oven will complicate things.
